Officers from the Greenburgh Police Department responded to the BP gas station on South Central Avenue in Edgemont shortly after 1:45 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14, where there was a reported robbery.
Police said that the attendant told officers that a man wearing a mask and dark-colored hooded sweatshirt walked into the station armed with a handgun and demanded cash. He was given an undisclosed amount of money and took off on foot north on Central Avenue, investigators said.
The attendant at the gas station was not injured during the armed robbery.
The investigation into the armed robbery is ongoing, police said. Detectives from the Greenburgh Police Department have asked anyone with information regarding the robbery to contact investigators by calling (914) 989-1732.
